Jump aboard and head up to the mountains!
The DMP is launching the Dublin Mountaineer bus service, which links the Dublin Mountains with the Sandyford Luas (Luas Green line) and Sean Walsh Park, Tallaght (Luas Red line). Timetable: The Dublin Mountaineer bus provides a direct gateway for walkers and hikers to enjoy the beauty of the Dublin Mountains on weekends and bank holidays, commencing on the 30th April 2011. The service departs from Tallaght (Sean Walsh Park) and Sandyford Luas three times a day and stops at a number of places across the Dublin Mountains. Daily hop on hop off tickets cost €5 and a family ticket costs €12 (2 adults, 2 kids). The bus is ideal for those wishing to walk a section of the new Dublin Mountains Way, a 43km trail from Shankill in the east to Tallaght in the west.
