The first Irish Blue Cross Marlay Bark in the Park was held on Sunday 30th August 2009. In total over 120 dogs participated in following a special paw printed route around the park.
All of the dogs had a great chance to inspect the special new dog park in Marlay and when they reached the Finish Line, each dog received a certificate, and a doggie bag, with treats for their humans too!!
Awards went to the five dogs with the Best Bark, Waggiest Tail, Happiest Smile, Shiniest Coat and as the weather warranted it, the Drownedest Rat!! The event raised just over €4,000, all of which will go towards vital new veterinary equipment at the Charity’s new small animal clinic in Inchicore.
